A small studio, built around the window

Sydney Shutter Co. is a three-person family studio in Alexandria. We design, measure and install bespoke window coverings across Sydney — shutters, blinds, curtains and shades.

Flynn O'Byrne is a qualified carpenter. He does every measure and every install personally. If you book a consult, Flynn's the one at your door.

Bailey O'Byrne runs the studio side — quotes, scheduling, customer communication, and the website you're reading.

Fiona O'Byrne handles everything Bailey doesn't — from sourcing materials to post-install follow-up.

How we work

We don't cut anything until we've stood at your window. Every opening is measured on site before the order goes to manufacture. It makes lead times a little longer than chain retailers — but the product fits, every time.

We install ourselves. No third-party fitters. If something's off on install day, the person who measured it is the one adjusting it.
